Tiwa Savage Postpones Tour and OVO Wembley Arena Show Due to Vocal Infection

Global music sensation Tiwa Savage has been compelled to reschedule her highly anticipated OVO Wembley Arena performance and all her tour dates originally slated for November. The postponement arises from health concerns related to a vocal infection that has necessitated strict vocal rest for the foreseeable future.

Tiwa Savage, renowned for her outstanding contribution to the music industry, is undoubtedly disappointed by this decision, especially given her remarkable success in 2023. The year has seen her perform at King Charles III’s Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle and release a series of chart-topping hits, including “Gbese” featuring Majeeed, “NSV” featuring Bella Shmurda, and “Stamina,” featuring Ayra Starr and Young Jonn.

The songstress shared the unfortunate news with her fans and supporters earlier this week via her Instagram page. In her press statement, she expressed, “To my dear Savage Solidiers, I have been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months.”

She continued, “I will unfortunaetly have to postpone all performances, including my first-ever headline show in London. I’m heartbroken and devastated, but I have to do this to save what’s left of my voice. I’m so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I’m fully healed.”

The highly anticipated headline performance at OVO Wembley Arena, originally scheduled for November 26th, will be postponed due to the vocal infection. This momentous event would have marked Tiwa Savage as the first female Afrobeats artist to headline at the prestigious arena.

Tiwa Savage joins a list of artists who have encountered health-related setbacks in 2023. Renowned artist Drake also took a break following stomach-related health challenges, while rising star Tems was compelled to cancel a performance in 2022 due to health issues.
