Uber One Adjusts Benefits: $5 Uber Cash Removal on Late Deliveries Starting February 5th

In a recent policy update, Uber has announced changes to its Uber One subscription, specifically regarding the $5 Uber Cash credit previously offered for late delivery arrivals. Effective February 5th, Uber One members will no longer receive the $5 Uber Cash credit if their delivery arrives beyond the latest estimated arrival time.

The company has initiated communication with Uber One members, notifying them of the impending modification. The notice reassures members of Uber One that, despite this change, other special offers and benefits associated with the subscription will remain unchanged.

Originally, Uber One provided a unique perk where members would receive a $5 Uber Cash credit if their delivery was expected to arrive after the “expected delivery time.” Notably, this time estimate was only revealed after the order had been placed, adding an element of surprise for subscribers.

Uber One, a subscription service available for $9.99 plus tax per month in Canada, with an annual subscription option priced at $99.99 plus tax, offers an array of benefits to its members. Alongside the now-altered late delivery credit, Uber One subscribers continue to enjoy features such as $0 delivery fees, a five per cent bonus on eligible orders, and up to five per cent Uber Cash on qualifying rides.

The Uber One subscription was introduced to Canada in July 2022 as an alternative to the discontinued Uber Pass. Despite the modification to the late delivery credit, Uber assures its members that the core benefits of the Uber One subscription will remain intact, maintaining its appeal to users seeking a comprehensive and cost-effective package.
