Wande Coal Returns With Fourth Studio Album, KING COAL

Nigerian music star Wande Coal has released his fourth studio album, KING COAL, marking his first full-length project in several years and reinforcing his position as one of Afrobeats’ most influential voices.

The 15-track album arrives 17 years after his acclaimed debut, Mushin 2 Mo’ Hits, which helped shape the modern Nigerian music landscape. On KING COAL, the singer blends R&B, dancehall, Afrobeats and fuji-inspired elements, showcasing both his signature vocals and his ability to evolve with changing musical trends.

Throughout the project, Wande Coal explores themes of love, personal growth and confidence, while also reflecting the experience of an artist who has remained relevant across multiple generations of Nigerian music. Songs such as DEM GO PAY introduce contemporary influences, including drill-inspired production, highlighting his willingness to experiment with newer sounds.

The album also features collaborations with artists from different eras of Afrobeats. Wizkid joins Wande Coal on the closing track Oshe, rekindling a partnership that fans have long appreciated. Tiwa Savage appears on Must Be Love, while rising singer Qing Madi features on DEARLY. Other guest appearances include Ruger, BNXN, Dera, and Fido, each bringing their unique styles to the project.

By combining veteran artistry with contributions from some of Nigeria’s younger stars, KING COAL positions itself as both a celebration of Wande Coal’s legacy and a statement that he remains an active force in the evolution of Afrobeats.

The album is now available on major streaming platforms.
