50 Cent Once Interned for Rapper and Entrepreneur Who Now Co-Owns Atlanta Hawks

Popular rapper and successful businessman, 50 Cent, has often been praised for his ability to surround himself with the right people, contributing to his remarkable career journey. In a recent Instagram post on Sunday (September 17), the 48-year-old artist shared a TikTok video from 2021 featuring entrepreneur and rapper Jesse Itzer, shedding light on their past collaboration.

In the video, Jesse Itzer reminisced about his earlier days with 50 Cent when both artists were still ascending in their respective careers. He revealed that 50 Cent had once interned for him as part of a unique arrangement to gain business experience while pursuing a career in music.

“50 Cent was my intern,” Itzer explained. “I had this kid who’s a boxer and wants to be a rapper, but he wants to get some business experience. So, we made a deal that he would intern for me in exchange for the experience I could provide him. In return, he would assist me in writing jingles, a task I was working on at the time.”

Their paths eventually diverged, with 50 Cent achieving massive success in the music industry and Itzer establishing his own private jet company. Several years later, fate brought them back together when 50 Cent happened to fly on Marquis Jet, the company co-founded by Itzer.

Itzer shared an amusing anecdote from their reunion, stating, “I had the pilot write a note, saying, ’50, you’re never gonna believe this. This is Jesse from the jingle company, and you’re on one of my airplanes.’ And the next day, he wrote into all of his contracts that he would only fly with Marquis Jet.”

50 Cent confirmed the authenticity of Itzer’s story, writing, “This is 100 percent true. Jessie is my guy. I think he owns the Atlanta Hawks now. I gotta catch up with him. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”

In response, Itzer expressed his fondness for their shared history, adding an intriguing sequel to the story. “Those were incredible years,” he commented. “Part 2 of this was when I bumped into you 20 years later in the airport, and I was like ‘no way he remembers me,’ and you bear hugged me right away.”

In another testament to enduring friendships, 50 Cent and Eminem showcased their unbreakable alliance during a recent performance at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. Eminem made a surprise appearance at 50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour stop, thrilling the audience.

Eminem delivered an electrifying performance of his powerful verse from 50 Cent’s “Patiently Waiting,” a track from the iconic “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” album. The rap legends also treated the crowd to their 2009 hit collaboration, “Crack a Bottle.”

Before leaving the stage, Eminem expressed his admiration for 50 Cent and extended his love to the Detroit audience. “Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends that I’ve ever known, 50 Cent!” he exclaimed. Additionally, Eminem acknowledged the 50th birthday of Hip Hop and declared his affection for the city.

50 Cent reciprocated the love and shared a video of the moment on Instagram. He expressed his deep appreciation for Eminem, emphasizing their enduring friendship and mutual respect.
