AVIREX And adidas Superstars Unite For A Historic Hip-Hop Fashion Collaboration
Two timeless symbols of New York City’s hip-hop culture – AVIREX leather jackets and adidas Superstars – are joining forces for the first time in history. The collaboration celebrates decades of street style and music influence, merging two icons that have long defined urban fashion.
The AVIREX x adidas Originals collection, fronted by rapper Joey BadA$$ and DJ/model MJ, features a refreshed take on the classic adidas Superstar. The sneaker comes with a unique fold-down tongue, showcasing AVIREX’s logo on the right heel and tongue, while adidas’ trefoil emblem appears on the left heel. Inside, cobranded insoles mark the union of the two legendary brands.

Beyond footwear, the collaboration also includes a limited apparel line, featuring a co-branded jersey and an updated AVIREX x adidas icon jacket – both nods to the golden age of hip-hop fashion.
To mark the release, adidas Originals will host an exclusive pop-up event on October 17 at 395 Broome Street in New York City’s SoHo district, where fans can grab the sneakers ahead of the global drop. The wider release will follow on October 20, available only at the adidas Originals flagship store in NYC.

The partnership between AVIREX and adidas brings together two cultural pillars that have dressed generations of artists and fans – a collaboration that tells the story of hip-hop style in true New York fashion.
