Nike Ja 3 “Year Of The Horse” Set For January 2026 Release
Nike has had earlier confirmed the release date for the Ja 3 CNY “Year Of The Horse” sneaker, which dropped on January 16, 2026, to mark the Chinese New Year celebrations.
The special-edition basketball shoe will be available through Nike SNKRS and select Nike Basketball retailers, including Foot Locker, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Champs Sports, and other stockists. Pricing has been fixed at $145 for adult sizes, $112 for grade school (GS), and $97 for preschool (PS).
The Ja 3 continues to gain strong traction as part of Nike Basketball’s recent resurgence, alongside futuristic models such as the GT Future and GT Cut 4. Since its debut, the silhouette has been widely praised, and the upcoming “Year Of The Horse” colourway is expected to further boost its popularity.
Inspired by Chinese New Year traditions, the sneaker features a bold mix of red and gold tones, with metallic gold Swooshes on both sides. Cultural detailing is highlighted by Hanzi characters printed on the insoles, translating roughly to “take the lead,” reinforcing the celebratory theme.
Design elements also nod to the horse motif, with pony hair material on the tongue and rich brown shades across the upper. Light blue embroidery appears on Ja Morant’s triangular logo and “TMT” branding near the eyelets, adding contrast to the warm colour palette.
Nike has also paid close attention to presentation, packaging the sneaker in a premium gold-accented drawstring bag and a red-and-gold box that reflects the festive concept.
With its cultural storytelling and premium finish, the Nike Ja 3 “Year Of The Horse” is expected to be one of the standout basketball releases of early 2026.
