Kiekie Joins Maltina to Launch Nationwide School Tour Focused on Nourishing Young Minds
Popular Nigerian media personality and brand ambassador Oluwabukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, has partnered with malt beverage brand Maltina to kick off a nationwide school outreach programme aimed at promoting proper nutrition among students.
The initiative, known as the Maltina Nourishment Tour, is part of the brand’s activities marking its 50th anniversary in Nigeria. Through the programme, the company plans to reach and positively impact one million young learners across the country.
The tour officially began on 9 February 2026 with visits to schools in Lagos before expanding to other parts of the country.
Promoting Nutrition and Learning
According to the organisers, the Maltina Nourishment Tour is designed to emphasise the importance of proper nutrition in helping students stay active, confident and engaged in their studies.
The programme includes interactive science sessions conducted in collaboration with STEM Africa Fest. During these sessions, students take part in hands-on experiments that demonstrate how nutrients from food and beverages contribute to energy levels, learning capacity and overall development.
Participants are also introduced to Maltina products, which are now available in convenient 25cl and 50cl PET bottles designed to fit easily into school bags and everyday routines.

Kiekie Returns to Her Alma Mater
The second phase of the school tour began on 9 March 2026 with visits to several institutions in Lagos and Ibadan.
One of the key highlights was a visit to United Missionary Comprehensive College, Kiekie’s alma mater, where she joined the Maltina team to engage with students and encourage healthy nutrition habits.
Other schools visited during the phase included Government Comprehensive Junior College and Ikeja Senior Grammar School.
Students participated in interactive experiments that illustrated how nutrients are released and used by the body to provide energy and support growth.

Expanding the Programme Nationwide
The Maltina Nourishment Tour will continue to visit schools across Nigeria in the coming months. At each stop, students will take part in engaging science-based demonstrations designed to show how vitamins and minerals support learning, growth and daily wellbeing.
Highlights from the events will also be shared on digital platforms to reach families, educators and wider communities.
Company’s Vision for the Initiative
Speaking about the project, Elohor Olumide-Awe, Portfolio Manager for Non-Alcoholic Drinks at Nigerian Breweries Plc, said the tour aims to strengthen the connection between nutrition and education.
“The Maltina Nourishment Tour goes beyond school visits. It is about building meaningful relationships with schools and communities while helping students understand the important role nourishment plays in learning,” she said.
Olumide-Awe explained that Maltina, which contains vitamins A, B and C as well as calcium, is designed to support the energy and concentration students need for their daily activities.
She added that the initiative is intended to inspire curiosity in science while encouraging healthier lifestyle habits among young Nigerians.
As the brand celebrates five decades in Nigeria, the Nourishment Tour reflects Maltina’s broader goal of supporting the development of future generations by promoting proper nutrition and educational engagement.
