Xiaomi Unveils REDMI A7 Pro In Nigeria with Bigger Display and Enhanced Features
Global tech company Xiaomi has launched the REDMI A7 Pro in Nigeria, introducing upgraded features aimed at delivering improved performance and everyday usability in the entry-level segment.
The new device features a 6.9-inch display designed to offer a more immersive viewing experience for activities such as streaming, browsing, and social media use. With a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and peak brightness of 800 nits, the smartphone is built to maintain clarity and smooth interaction even in bright outdoor conditions.
Powering the device is a 6000mAh battery, which the company says can last over two days on a single charge under typical usage. The battery is also engineered for long-term durability, retaining a significant portion of its capacity after extended charging cycles.
The REDMI A7 Pro is among the first in its category to run on Xiaomi’s latest operating system, HyperOS 3, bringing features such as AI-assisted tools, improved search functionality, and enhanced device connectivity. The integration of Google’s Gemini AI and Circle to Search further supports real-time assistance and multitasking.
On performance, the device is equipped with an octa-core processor and UFS 2.2 storage, alongside support for RAM expansion, enabling smoother handling of everyday tasks.
For photography, the smartphone includes a 13MP AI dual rear camera and an 8MP front camera, both enhanced with features like HDR+, night mode, and AI-powered editing tools. Additional functions such as Document Mode allow users to scan and digitise documents directly from the camera.
The device also incorporates practical features including a side fingerprint sensor, NFC support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 200% volume boost for audio output.
Available in Black, Mist Blue, Palm Green, and Sunset Orange, the REDMI A7 Pro comes in two configurations – 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB – priced at ₦126,300 and ₦144,900 respectively.
As part of a Nigeria-exclusive launch offer, Xiaomi is bundling the device with incentives valued at up to ₦75,000, including data offers, subscriptions, extended warranty, and everyday essentials.
