Olamide Opens Up On Stage Anxiety, Cites Past Experiences
Nigerian rapper Olamide has revealed that he still experiences nervousness before stepping on stage, despite years of performing.
Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Korty EO, the artist explained that his anxiety stems from difficult past experiences during live performances.
According to him, unpredictable incidents—such as fans rushing the stage and attempting to grab personal items—have contributed to his unease.
“I get nervous every time I am going on the stage. I have had too many crazy experiences while performing. Someone from nowhere will just come and grab your chain or your hat, you don’t even know what to expect,” he said.
Olamide described such moments as unsettling, noting that they continue to influence how he approaches performances.
His comments highlight the often-overlooked challenges artists face during live shows, even as they maintain a confident public image.
