Some Colleagues Went Broke After Spending On Parties, Women – Spyro
Nigerian singer Spyro has attributed the financial struggles of some entertainers to extravagant spending on parties, luxury lifestyles, and women.
The Who’s Your Guy crooner made the remarks while addressing fans during a performance at an event over the weekend, where he spoke about the importance of financial discipline and long-term investments.
According to the singer, many people make the mistake of prioritising temporary pleasures over wealth creation, a decision he believes has contributed to the downfall of some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Spyro advised men to be cautious about how they spend money on women, stressing that generosity should be balanced with financial wisdom.
“If you are here and you are spending money on women I think you are wasting your time. I not saying you should not spend on your woman but use your head.
“I know some of my colleagues who went broke because they made their first bag and blew it off on parties and trips to South Africa. But I didn’t move that way and that is why I am where I am,” he said.
The singer further revealed that when he first attained fame and financial success, he received attention from numerous Instagram models. However, he claimed he deliberately avoided distractions, including offers from women who were willing to fund luxury trips abroad.
Instead, he said he chose to channel his energy and resources into his music career and investments, a decision he believes has helped him maintain financial stability and continue growing his brand.
Spyro concluded by encouraging his fans to focus on saving and investing rather than spending excessively on fleeting pleasures and social validation.
