Metro Boomin Covers Italian Fashion Magazine ‘Icon’

Renowned producer Metro Boomin has added another feather to his cap by landing on the cover of the latest issue of Italian fashion magazine Icon. The acclaimed artist showcases his signature style, donning an LV Lovers aviator hat by Louis Vuitton, paired with a sleek black coat and a crisp white dress shirt.

Described by the magazine as “one of the world’s most influential producers,” Metro Boomin’s impact on the music scene is undeniable. The cover story highlights his prolific career, mentioning his two albums, “Not All Heroes Wear Capes” and “Heroes & Villains,” along with his contribution to curating the soundtrack of the animated film “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

In an Instagram post revealing the cover, Icon Magazine expressed, “He’s one of the world’s most influential producers, and there’s hardly an artist today who hasn’t collaborated with him.” In an interview with the publication, Metro shared his perspective on the relationship between music and visuals, stating, “For me, music and images go hand in hand. A song is like a film, where the listener creates the images. And the richer the music is, and the more details you add, the more vivid those images become.”

Metro Boomin’s recent successes include the highly-streamed “Heroes & Villains,” which became the most streamed rap album of 2023 with 3.3 billion streams on Spotify. Looking ahead, the producer has ambitious plans for 2024, hinting at the release of at least three more albums. During a Twitter/X Q&A, he confirmed, “3 at the very least,” when asked about his upcoming projects.

While the specific details of the albums remain undisclosed, Metro has teased eagerly awaited joint projects with Future and J.I.D, along with another solo album. The Future/Metro joint album, a highly anticipated collaboration, is confirmed to be “on the way.” Their creative partnership spans over a decade, producing hits like “Mask Off,” “Low Life,” and “Wicked.” In a recent Twitter post, Metro Boomin named “Sorry” and “My Collection” as his top personal favorites from their collaborations, expressing his love for the HNDRXX wave.
