Access Bank to Host Maiden MSME Conference, Unveil SME App
Access Bank will host the inaugural edition of its MSME Conference on Friday, July 24, 2026, at its headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of efforts to support the growth of Nigeria’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
The conference, themed “AI for SMEs: Scaling Through Digital Tools,” will bring together entrepreneurs, policymakers, business leaders and technology experts to examine how artificial intelligence can help small businesses improve efficiency, expand operations and remain competitive in an increasingly digital economy.
Participants will engage in keynote presentations, panel discussions and interactive sessions featuring representatives from the Presidency on Entrepreneurship Development, Mastercard, Huawei, World Trade Center Lagos, Dataleum, Aktivate Labs and other organisations. Discussions will focus on digital transformation, emerging business trends and practical technology solutions for business growth.
A major highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the Access SME App, a digital platform designed to help entrepreneurs streamline business operations. The application combines financial services and business management tools into a single platform to support SMEs in managing and scaling their enterprises more efficiently.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Group Head of SME Banking at Access Bank Plc, Abiodun Olubitan, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs turn their ambitions into sustainable businesses.
According to him, the conference and the new digital platform are aimed at equipping business owners with practical knowledge and tools needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.
He noted that Access Bank remains focused on supporting Nigerian SMEs by providing opportunities to innovate, learn and overcome growth barriers.
MSMEs play a significant role in Nigeria’s economy by driving employment, innovation and economic development. However, many businesses continue to grapple with challenges such as limited access to finance and low digital adoption.
