Known for her roles in the popular flicks like ‘ER’ and ‘Ray Donovan’, American actress, Mary Mara has died at the age of 61.
According to her lawyer, the New York State Police responded to a call at 8.10 local time on Saturday, with the caller reporting a “possible drowning.”
Confirming her death in a statement, her manager, Craig Dorfman described Mara one of the finest actresses he has encountered.
“Mary was one of the finest actresses I ever met. I still remember seeing her onstage in 1992 in ‘Mad Forest’ off Broadway. She was electric, funny, and a true individual. Everyone loved her. She will be missed,” Dorfman stated.
Born in Syracuse, New York, Mara has starred in several shows and movies, with the actress’ list of credits including ‘Dexter’, ‘The Practice’, ‘Star Trek: Enterprise’ as well as ‘Mr. Saturday Night.’
Her demise has been trailed by a flurry of tributes with fans, friends and her family describing her as a well loved actress and TV personality.
