Guess Who Rescued Amber Heard From Losing Her Role in Aquaman 2?
Fresh facts have emerged as to how and why American celebrity actress, Amber Heard was able to retain her role in the movie, Aquaman 2 despite being immersed in controversies that would have seen her scenes deleted from the superhero franchise.
According to the statements of Kathryn Arnold, an entertainment industry consultant who was one of the witnesses in the case as well as being an ex-producer, Heard’s scenes in the sequel to Aquaman movie would have been completely removed.
He revealed that the only thing that kept her in the movie was the insistence of the movie’s main protagonist, Jason Momoa and the film’s director, James Wan.
Apparently, Hollywood studios and production companies do not take lightly to actors in their movies being immersed in controversies or having some sort of public opinion swinging against then as it could translate into box office revenue loses running into millions of dollars.
Arnold explained that it was the adamant stance of both Momoa and Aquaman 2 director James Wan that prevented Heard from being dropped from the Aquaman 2 movie. He added that the actress’ character in the movie, Mera was originally scripted to have a “strong romantic arc the entire film and some great action sequences” before her action scenes were “cut out” and her role was “radically reduced.”
