Adobe Unveils AI-Powered Tools and Features at Annual Max Event

Adobe, the photo-editing software company, recently showcased a range of new AI-powered tools and features at its annual Max event, featuring a dress that transforms into a wearable screen and streamlined photo-editing capabilities.

The company presented several prototype tools that leverage generative AI and 3D image technology during the Adobe MAX Sneaks showcase. These innovations cover various domains, including photography, audio, video, 3D, fashion, and design. They offer a glimpse into early-stage concepts that may eventually become integral parts of Adobe’s products.

A standout feature of the event was Project Primrose, an interactive dress that dynamically changes colors and patterns while being worn.

Among the showcased innovations was Project Stardust, a tool that automatically identifies objects in images and enables users to perform various tasks. For example, it can detect a suitcase within a photo and provide options to move or delete it. Additionally, it can predict and suggest potential tasks, like removing people from the background of an image.

Another notable unveiling was Project Dub Dub Dub, a technology capable of automatically dubbing audio in videos into all supported languages while preserving the original speaker’s voice. Furthermore, Adobe exhibited a new tool that demonstrates the application of the text-to-image generative AI tool Firefly to videos.

Adobe initially introduced Firefly into a Photoshop beta app in May, aiming to significantly expedite the photo editing process. This technology allows users to add or remove elements from images using simple text prompts and automatically matches the lighting and style of existing images.
