‘Allow Me Do My Music in Peace’ – Peter Okoye Tells Brother, Paul Over Song Theft Accusation

Nigerian music star Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P and one-half of the popular P-Square duo, has responded to allegations from his twin brother and former bandmate, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), regarding claims of song theft.

Paul recently accused Peter and their former producer, Vampire, of releasing a song titled “Winning”—which Paul says he originally wrote and planned to release with his own album next year. The accusation sparked a wave of speculation online as fans expressed confusion over the source and ownership of the track.

In response, Peter took to Instagram to clarify his involvement in the song’s creation, asserting that “Winning” was co-written by himself and Calypso60, and produced by Vampire with co-production from Goldswarm. According to Peter, it would be impossible for him to “steal” a song he helped create.

“Person no dey thief him own property!” Mr. P wrote, expressing frustration over the allegations. He also extended thanks to Vampire for confirming the collaborative nature of the song’s creation.

Peter appealed to his brother to allow him to continue his music journey without interference, highlighting his desire for peace and positivity. “Now that I have a new single out, please allow me to enjoy my new single, ‘Winning,’ in peace,” he added, urging fans to continue supporting the song across music platforms.

This latest public exchange underscores lingering tension between the brothers, despite prior reconciliations. However, Peter’s message reflects his hope to move forward and focus on his music without further dispute.
