Asake Surpasses Burna Boy’s Record on Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Chart

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has set a new milestone by surpassing Burna Boy as the artist with the most songs on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

This week, Asake debuted nine tracks from his latest album, ‘Lungu Boy,’ on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, bringing his total number of entries to an impressive 50. Among these, his collaboration with American rapper Travis Scott, titled ‘Active,’ has claimed the top spot on the chart.

The Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, launched in April 2022, has seen significant dominance by Nigerian artists, with Asake now leading the pack in terms of chart entries.
