Azealia Banks 2

Azealia Banks Dragged Online for Implying Jacky Oh’s Death Was D.C. Young Fly’s Karma

Is Azealia Banks still holding onto her grudge from her appearance on “Wild ‘N Out” five years ago?

Following the recent death of D.C. Young Fly’s partner, Ms Jacky Oh, the “Anna Wintour” singer did not offer condolences but instead insinuated that Oh’s passing might be some sort of karma for an incident on the show that left Banks feeling scorned.

In 2018, Banks participated in an episode of “Wild ‘N Out,” a hip-hop improv show hosted by Nick Cannon. During a freestyle rap battle segment called “How Petty,” Banks engaged in a face-off with D.C. Young Fly.

When it was Young Fly’s turn to throw an insult at Banks’ team, he made a comment about Nick Cannon’s choice, saying, “My boy Nick Cannon is so petty, he couldn’t get Cardi B, so he got Azealia’s ugly ass.”

Instead of responding with her own lyrics, Banks grabbed the mic and accused D.C. Young Fly of making anti-Black remarks, emphasizing that there should be no room for colorism on the stage.
While celebrities like Cardi B, DL Hughley, and T.I. expressed their condolences and support for Ms Jacky Oh’s death, Banks took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to unleash a series of insults.

She criticized D.C. Young Fly for harboring self-hatred and projecting it onto confident women.
Banks mentioned that her tears after her appearance on the show five years ago were tears of rage and not weakness, asserting that she ultimately emerged victorious. She expressed disbelief that D.C. Young Fly had the audacity to call someone as beautiful as Azealia Banks ugly on national television.

In a subsequent post, Banks deemed Oh’s death as ironic, noting that she passed away at 32 years old on Banks’ 32nd birthday in Miami, FL. She added that people would learn not to mess with her and concluded by stating that the thorn in her side had finally been removed.

Banks’ comments drew significant backlash from fans who criticized her remarks as tasteless and hateful. Some users urged her to heal and condemned her satisfaction derived from death.
One commenter mentioned that she had crossed a line from which she would struggle to recover.

Ms Jacky Oh, who appeared on MTV’s “Wild ‘N Out,” had three children with her long-term partner D.C. Young Fly. She passed away in Miami, where she had reportedly traveled for a cosmetic surgery procedure.

The cause of her death is currently unknown. Miami Police Department is investigating the case.
D.C. Young Fly and his family released a statement through People magazine, expressing gratitude for the well wishes and requesting privacy during this challenging time.
