Beverly Osu Says She Has Been Underpaid Despite Years In Entertainment Industry

Nigerian actress and reality television personality Beverly Osu has spoken about the financial challenges she has faced in the entertainment industry, saying she believes her career achievements should have made her far wealthier.

Osu made the remarks during a recent appearance on the Ghacha’s Chough Podcast, where she reflected on her journey across different areas of the entertainment sector.

According to the actress, the amount of work she has invested in her career over the years should have translated into far greater financial rewards.

“I have worked so hard. My portfolio is enough to make me a billionaire not just in Nigeria but across Africa,” she said.

Despite her accomplishments, Osu said she feels she has been consistently underpaid throughout her career. She added that the experience has motivated her to advocate for better compensation within the industry.

The actress explained that she has explored multiple roles in entertainment, building experience in several segments before focusing primarily on acting.

Her career path has included work as a luxury model, video vixen and reality television personality before transitioning fully into acting.

Osu noted that these experiences represent years of effort and dedication in an industry she believes does not always adequately reward talent.

“I am a very humble person, but I know my portfolio,” she said. “I have tried different facets of the entertainment industry… I have paid my dues.”

Her comments add to broader conversations about compensation and working conditions in Nigeria’s creative sector, where many performers have argued that financial rewards often do not match the level of effort required to sustain a career in entertainment.
