Brad Pitt ‘Determined to Force Out Russian Vodka Oligarch Who Bought Angelina Jolie’s Share of Their $500 Million Vineyard’
Reports suggest that Brad Pitt is determined to oust the Russian vodka oligarch, Yuri Shefler, to whom Angelina Jolie allegedly sold her share of their French vineyard.
Brad Pitt, 59, and Angelina Jolie, 48, purchased Château Miraval in 2008 and got married there in 2014, but their divorce in 2019 sparked a battle over the property.
According to Page Six, Brad is furious with Yuri Shefler for mocking him in court filings, referring to him as “an actor” and “not a winemaker.”
Sources claim that Brad stands by the people he has done business with and refuses to give in to bullies.
Insiders also suggest that Brad sees Angelina’s sale of her share to the Russian as vindictive since she knew he had previously declined an offer from Yuri to buy the chateau.
In recently filed court documents, attorneys for Angelina’s former investment company, Nouvel, accused Brad of wasting the firm’s assets on vanity projects and alleged misconduct.
According to the papers obtained by Page Six, Brad’s alleged behavior escalated after Angelina sold Nouvel to a company controlled by Yuri.
It is claimed that Brad, incensed by Jolie selling Nouvel to Stoli rather than to him, acted like a petulant child and failed to treat Nouvel as an equal partner.
Reports suggest that Angelina agreed to divide the company 68 percent to 38 percent in Brad’s favor due to his larger investment in their property.
During the summer of 2021, Brad discovered through a press release that Jolie had sold her stake to a “Russian oligarch,” whom he had previously rejected.
Brad filed a lawsuit against Angelina in February 2022, alleging that she deprived him of his right to enjoy his private home and oversee the business he had built.
Brad has accused his “vindictive” ex-wife of collaborating secretly with Yuri, who also owns Stoli Group, to keep him in the dark about the sale.
