Burkina Faso Concert: ‘Burn in Hell’ – Burna Boy Replies Critics
Nigerian music star Burna Boy has issued a fiery response to critics who condemned his plans to host a free concert in Burkina Faso.
The Grammy-winning singer faced backlash on social media after reports surfaced that his offer to perform in the West African country was allegedly declined by its president. The reaction online included widespread mockery and speculation about his motives.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Burna Boy defended his intentions, asserting that his decision to organize the concert was based on principle rather than personal benefit.
“I have nothing to gain from anybody. I don’t owe anyone anything, but that never stopped me from doing the great work I do,” he wrote. “My integrity is unquestionable. Therefore burn in hell if you said anything negative.”
The artist expressed disappointment at what he described as surprisingly hostile reactions, adding that he remains committed to using his platform for positive impact, regardless of public opinion.
There has been no official statement yet from Burkina Faso’s government concerning the reports of rejection.
