Burna Boy To Feature Alongside Shakira On Official 2026 FIFA World Cup Anthem
Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Burna Boy is set to feature on the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Colombian pop sensation Shakira.
The song, titled “Dai Dai,” is scheduled for release on May 14, according to an announcement shared by Shakira on social media.
In her post, the singer revealed excitement about the upcoming release, writing: “From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the @FIFAWorldCup Official Song 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!” while also tagging Burna Boy.
Burna Boy’s appearance on the soundtrack marks the second consecutive FIFA World Cup music collaboration involving a Nigerian artiste. In 2022, fellow Nigerian singer Davido featured on the official World Cup track “Hayya Hayya (Better Together)” for the tournament held in Qatar.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The tournament is expected to run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
