Cardi B and Offset Face Lawsuit Over Alleged Damage and Unpaid Rent for Beverly Hills Rental

Cardi B and Offset, the former power couple in the music industry, are currently entangled in a legal dispute with the landlord of a Beverly Hills residence they rented in 2022. Documents obtained by TMZ on Friday revealed that the landlord is suing the pair, alleging they abruptly vacated the property without notice in October, leaving behind both outstanding payments and significant property damage.

The lawsuit claims that Cardi B and Offset were behind on rent and utility payments when they departed, with an alleged balance remaining. The landlord further asserts “significant property damage,” estimating the cost at around $85,000. The damages reportedly include permanent scratches in the tile floors, rugs, and curtains, broken furniture, holes in the walls, and burn marks on various surfaces like tables, counters, and cabinets.

The timing of the October departure aligns with the public revelation of Cardi B and Offset’s separation. Earlier in the month, Cardi B announced the end of their relationship, citing claims that Offset had been involved with Chrisean Rock, Blueface’s ex.

In an Instagram Live session, Cardi addressed the speculation, expressing her reluctance to believe the rumors but considering it a sign to move on. She stated, “I’ve been single for a minute now,” emphasizing her excitement about starting fresh in 2024. The rapper conveyed her desire for a new life and a new beginning, hinting at changes in her appearance and lifestyle.

As Cardi B embraces this new chapter, the lawsuit adds a legal dimension to the aftermath of her and Offset’s shared history, revealing financial and property-related issues that need resolution.
