Cassie’s Husband, Alex Fine Speaks Out Against Domestic Violence Following Disturbing Diddy Abuse Video

Alex Fine, husband of singer Cassie Ventura, has publicly addressed domestic violence in response to newly surfaced footage showing his wife being assaulted by her former boyfriend, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The video, released by CNN, depicts a 2016 altercation in a Los Angeles hotel where Combs is seen physically attacking Ventura.

The disturbing footage, captured by surveillance cameras, reveals Combs grabbing, shoving, and kicking Ventura in the hallway of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City. The violent incident aligns with the allegations Ventura made in a lawsuit against Combs last November, which was swiftly settled.

In the wake of this revelation, Fine took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message supporting victims of domestic violence. He posted a screenshot of a note which read:

“Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men. As men, violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family. Our daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives should feel protected and loved. Hold the women in your life with the utmost regard. Men who hurt women hate women.”

Fine continued by addressing survivors directly, affirming their experiences and encouraging them to seek support and love. He expressed his desire for a world where women and children feel safe and equal. Fine’s post also included a stern warning to abusers, declaring that their actions will no longer be tolerated or protected.

The video shows Ventura exiting a hotel room and heading towards an elevator, with Combs pursuing her, partially covered by a towel. He is seen assaulting her, kicking her as she lies motionless on the ground, and briefly dragging her before abandoning her and walking away.

Ventura’s lawsuit against Combs, which was settled in November 2023, included claims of rape, sex trafficking, and domestic violence, detailing incidents that closely match the actions seen in the footage. The lawsuit described a specific event in 2016 where Combs, in a drunken rage, punched Ventura, chased her into the hallway, and threw glass vases at her as she attempted to flee.

Upon realizing the gravity of the situation, Ventura initially returned to the hotel to apologize, fearing further anger from Combs. Hotel security, aware of the violence through surveillance footage, advised her to leave for her safety. The lawsuit also alleged that Combs paid $50,000 to obtain the hotel’s security footage.

Despite the settlement, Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, stated that the resolution of the lawsuit did not imply any admission of wrongdoing by Combs. A representative for Combs has yet to comment on the latest developments.

Cassie Ventura and Alex Fine, who started dating in late 2018 after her split from Diddy, were married in August 2019 and have two daughters, Frankie, 4, and Sunny, 3. The resurfacing of the footage has brought renewed attention to the case and Fine’s vocal support highlights the ongoing issue of domestic violence.
