Celine Dion Reflects on Legacy, Says She Will Be Remembered for Her Classic Hits

Canadian music icon Celine Dion has shared her thoughts on her lasting legacy, stating that her classic hits will ensure she is remembered even if she stops singing. In a recent interview with Smooth Radio, the 56-year-old singer, who has been battling stiff-person syndrome, expressed confidence in the enduring impact of her music.

Dion remarked, “If you’re lucky enough to have one classic in your career, you can be remembered forever, even if you decide to stop singing tomorrow.” She added, “And I don’t want to sound pretentious, but I think I’m all set!”

The singer’s comments come after her triumphant return to the stage at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, marking her first performance in four years amid ongoing health challenges.

Celine Dion’s impressive catalog of classics includes timeless songs like “Love Can Move Mountains” (1992), “The Power of Love” (1993), “My Heart Will Go On” (1997), “I’m Your Angel” (1998), and “I’m Alive” (2000), among others. These hits have cemented her status as one of the most beloved vocalists in the world.
