Nas fans have inundated his social media accounts with pleas and speculation following a cryptic post hinting at a potential farewell to his rap career.

Predictably, Nas’s post ignited a flurry of speculation and impassioned requests from fans. Some pleaded with the rapper to continue making music, while others sought clarity on what “The Finale” truly entailed.

Hip-hop commentator Rob Markman chimed in, writing, “What you mean the Finale man? Nah.”

Others wrote, “The finale?!? Of this chapter? This book? Don’t play with my life like this Nasir,” and “Stop playing Nas, ain’t no finale!!! Keep going.”

Some commenters speculated that “the finale” might signify the conclusion of Nas’s “King’s Disease” series.

Many fans also praised producer Hit-Boy, who has collaborated with Nas on the “King’s Disease” series and the “Magic” series. However, not all comments about Hit-Boy were positive, with some fans expressing a desire for Nas to move in a different direction.

Additionally, some fans speculated that “The Finale” could be linked to Nas’s long-rumored collaboration with DJ Premier. Rumours of a joint album between the two artists first surfaced in 2007 but have yet to materialize. Nas mentioned the possibility of a Premier-produced album on his track “30,” released in November of the previous year.

Nas’s comments on the track included, “Doesn’t matter this is sheer relief, I feel the breeze this is/ Superhero material, rap star status/ Premier album still might happen.” The collaboration between Nas and DJ Premier has remained a subject of interest for fans over the years, with hopes that it will come to fruition.
