CKay Teases New Single ‘Egwu Eji’ with Release Date Announcement
Nigerian music sensation CKay is set to drop his second official single of the year, titled “Egwu Eji.” The acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer shared a snippet of the upcoming track on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024, building anticipation among his global fanbase. The song is slated for release on Friday, August 30th, 2024.
“Egwu Eji,” which loosely translates to “something special” in Igbo, marks CKay’s follow-up to his earlier 2024 single “Wahala,” featuring Nigerian hip-hop legend Olamide. The new release comes on the heels of CKay’s announcement of his music management and publishing company, Boyfriend Music, co-founded with his friend Joseph Salubi. The company, which now includes an American subsidiary, Boyfrnd Music LLC, aims to support artists, songwriters, and producers worldwide.
