Drake Acquires $15 Million Ranch in Texas Amid Toronto Mansion Drama
Drake expands his real estate portfolio with the acquisition of a sprawling estate in Texas, adding to his lavish properties and potentially providing respite from recent turmoil at his Toronto mansion.
Reportedly, the Grammy-winning artist purchased a 313-acre resort located in Chappell Hill, Texas, approximately 45 minutes outside of Houston, for a hefty $15 million, according to RoundTop’s recent report.
The property, known as The Inn at Dos Brisas, ceased operations in July 2022 due to financial strains induced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Seizing an opportunity, Drake secured the estate in October 2023.
Constructed in 2002, the expansive compound boasts numerous amenities, including four casitas for guest accommodations, an entertainment lodge, a commercial kitchen, a climate-controlled wine room, multiple pools, a full equestrian facility, and a horse track.
Drake hinted at the acquisition in September, sharing a country-themed post on Instagram. Sporting a light blue denim hat adorned with an American flag, he humorously proclaimed, “Me and my partna’ we done gone country on ya’ll mane,” in a video clip.
During a tour stop in Houston earlier that week, Drake officially revealed the news to his fans, expressing his excitement about finding a new home outside of Toronto.
“I finally, finally after all these years found me a place in Houston, Texas,” he announced to a cheering crowd, adopting a country accent. “So ya’ll be seeing me around – yeah.”
Given Houston’s history of embracing Drake, notably honoring him with “Drake Day” in 2014, his decision to settle in the city resonates with his connection to the area’s vibrant culture and supportive fanbase.
