Court Clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and PrimeBoy in Mohbad Case
A Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos has acquitted popular singer Naira Marley, music promoter Sam Larry, and two others in connection with the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, widely known as Mohbad.
Delivering the ruling, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje stated that there was no case against Naira Marley, whose real name is Abdulazeez Fashola, as well as Samson Balogun (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (PrimeBoy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.
However, the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) has recommended charges against auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who administered treatment to Mohbad shortly before his death.
Additionally, Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, is set to be prosecuted for reckless and negligent acts, in violation of Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law. Both individuals will face trial at the magistrate court.
