Damson Idris Proudly Embraces Being a “Mummy’s Boy”
British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris has openly declared his love and admiration for his mother, proudly describing himself as a “mummy’s boy” during a recent interview.
Speaking with Kiss FM in London, the 33-year-old Snowfall star said he no longer feels embarrassed by the label and now sees it as a point of pride. He credited his mother as the driving force behind his success and his greatest supporter.
“I’m a mummy’s boy—big time,” Idris said. “I used to be a little hesitant about it, but now I say it proudly. That woman is the reason I exist. She’s my biggest fan, and I’m hers.”
The actor went on to say that making his mother proud remains his biggest motivation. He also drew a personal connection between himself and a character named Joshua from a recent project, who shares a similar drive to succeed for his mother’s sake.
“Joshua just wants to make his mum proud and win a championship,” Idris explained. “And hopefully, I can win a championship in my own way, too.”
