Dave Chappelle Takes Aim at Diddy’s Legal Troubles in SNL Monologue
Comedian Dave Chappelle brought his signature humour to the “Saturday Night Live” stage, delivering a sharp and hilarious monologue that touched on Diddy’s ongoing legal woes. The legendary Bad Boy Records mogul, currently facing serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, became one of Chappelle’s primary targets during his opening act.
Seated on a stool, Chappelle quipped, “I’ve been in a lot of trouble in my day, but Puffy – oh, buddy, this guy is in an enormous amount of trouble. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this.”
Chappelle didn’t hold back, joking about never receiving an invite to Diddy’s alleged “freak offs.” “They’d be like, ‘How were all these people at the freak-off, and you were the only one who wasn’t there?’ And I thought about it and said, ‘Oh my God – I’m ugly.’”
The comedian also poked fun at reports of a federal raid that allegedly uncovered a stockpile of baby oil on Diddy’s properties. “I’m 51, and I don’t think I’ve ever finished a bottle of baby oil in my life,” he joked. “A thousand bottles? Thank God they caught him before those fires. Can you imagine the mushroom cloud over his house?”
The monologue followed recent commentary from Wendy Williams, who also weighed in on Diddy’s legal situation. Speaking on “The Breakfast Club,” Williams claimed, “Diddy will go to prison for life, people. You don’t know things that I knew about Diddy back in the day… It is about time. Diddy done.”
As Diddy continues to fight the allegations, the situation remains a topic of national conversation – and, as Chappelle proved, comedy.
