Davido Says Celebrity Lifestyle Costs Him Up to N400 Million Every Month
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that maintaining his lifestyle as a celebrity comes with enormous financial commitments, disclosing that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, where he spoke about the realities of life in the spotlight and the costs associated with his status.
According to Davido, his monthly expenses amount to approximately N300 million to N400 million, excluding the spending of his wife, Chioma Adeleke, and other members of his household.
He said:
“I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn’t even include my wife’s expenses or the rest of my household.”
The singer added that the figure also excludes major luxury purchases.
“It also doesn’t include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery,” he said.
Davido has often spoken about the financial demands of maintaining a global music career, with expenses ranging from travel and security to staff, logistics and other business commitments associated with his brand.
