DJ Big N Recounts Miraculous Escape from Robbery Attack in South Africa
Nigerian disc jockey Nonso Temisan Ajufo, popularly known as DJ Big N, has shared a harrowing account of surviving a violent robbery in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he narrowly escaped death.
The incident occurred on January 12 while DJ Big N was en route to a nightclub with an acquaintance. Their vehicle was ambushed at a traffic light by two cars carrying six armed men.
Amid the chaos, the DJ attempted to flee but was shot in the leg. The assailants robbed him of jewellery and valuables estimated to be worth $114,000, including a luxury watch and chain.
“One of the robbers put a rifle to my head and demanded my watch,” DJ Big N recounted in an Instagram post. “Bleeding heavily, I managed to get back to the car, and the driver rushed me to the nearest hospital. The bullet had passed through my leg, narrowly missing a major artery and bone. Doctors described my survival as miraculous.”
The ordeal has profoundly impacted DJ Big N, prompting him to reevaluate his approach to life. “This experience has taught me to live more authentically and appreciate life without unnecessary stress,” he said, crediting divine intervention and his mother’s prayers for his survival.
The renowned DJ expressed gratitude for his second chance at life and vowed to embrace a deeper sense of purpose and gratitude moving forward.
