Don Jazzy and Wizkid Reconcile Months After Online Feud [VIDEO]
Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy and Afrobeat superstar Wizkid have settled their differences months after a heated social media exchange.
A viral video and photos circulating online captured the moment the two artists reunited, putting their past conflict behind them.
Their feud began a few months ago after Wizkid’s controversial remark that “hip-hop is dead.” The statement sparked reactions within the music industry, with Ladipoe, a rapper signed under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, firing back.
Ladipoe had written:
“Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip-hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
A fan later called Wizkid’s attention to the shade, prompting the singer to reply:
“lol never chatting to anyone signed to an influencer. Next.d’.”
Wizkid went on to retweet posts implying that Don Jazzy was merely a social media influencer, a move that stirred backlash from fans who felt he had disrespected the Mavin Records boss. Following the exchange, Don Jazzy unfollowed Wizkid on social media.
However, the latest video suggests that both stars have now reconciled, ending months of tension between them.
