Drake Spotted Nursing Ankle Injury During Luxurious Vacation in Turks and Caicos

Canadian rap sensation Drake is once again making headlines, this time for an ankle injury sustained during his lavish vacation in Turks and Caicos. The injury was revealed during a livestream for a $1 million Stake giveaway on Sunday (December 17), where the artist candidly shared the unfortunate news while sitting poolside.

Drake, often associated with his love for basketball, did not specify the cause of the ankle injury, but speculation arises from his recent participation in the SBL Christmas Classic 2023, where he posted photos engaging in the sport. The injury prompted the artist to sit out the live stream, opting for a more relaxed setting.

Footage circulating on social media captured Drake being chauffeured around the resort on a golf cart, accompanied by crutches to alleviate pressure on his injured ankle. This incident is not the first time the artist has faced health setbacks. In January 2021, Drake had to postpone the release of his “Certified Lover Boy” album after undergoing knee surgery in late 2020.

Despite the setback, Drake expressed optimism about his recovery and the album’s future release. In a message to fans in 2021, he acknowledged the delay due to surgery and rehabilitation but assured his followers that he was focused on the album.

During the same livestream in Turks and Caicos, Drake addressed unidentified “non-believers” and took a possible shot at Metro Boomin, who had recently deleted a tweet criticizing Her Loss, Drake’s album with 21 Savage. Drake’s comments expressed his frustration with those who doubt or criticize him and seemed to reference recent social media exchanges.

While the target of Drake’s remarks remains unclear, it follows a pattern of subtle responses to social media interactions. The incident with Metro Boomin involved a tweet and delete episode regarding streaming numbers and awards, leading to Drake quoting JAY-Z’s lyrics on Instagram Stories. Additionally, Drake unfollowed Metro on Instagram, hinting at potential tensions within the music industry.
