Drake Upsets Halle Berry With New Single Cover Art, Says: ‘I Thought Better of Him’

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has voiced her displeasure after Canadian rapper Drake allegedly used a photo of her to promote his latest single without her consent.

On Friday (September 15), Berry took to Instagram, posting a quote on a pink background suggesting that sometimes one needs to take the high road, even when facing adversity, with the caption: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy … even if you’re a woman!”

In the comments section of her post, a fan inquired about Berry’s thoughts on the cover art for Drake’s new single, “Slime You Out.” Without hesitation, Berry responded, expressing her disappointment with the rapper.

“Didn’t get my permission,” Berry wrote. “That’s not cool. I thought better of him!” She followed up with another comment, saying, “Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!”

For the cover art of “Slime You Out,” Drake used a 2012 photo of Halle Berry getting slimed at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. The single is part of Drake’s forthcoming album, “For All the Dogs,” which is now set to be released on October 6.

In the song, Drake showcases his lyrical prowess, delivering a second verse where he intricately weaves together the months of the year in a stream of consciousness. He also takes a moment to acknowledge his contributions to Quality Control Music, highlighting the substantial financial gains he has generated for the label through collaborations and tours.
