Eva Apio Shuts Down Rumours of Relationship with Asake
UK-based Ugandan model Eva Apio has publicly dismissed rumours linking her romantically with Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake.
Speculation about the pair being in a relationship gained traction following multiple public sightings and appearances at events together, sparking fan theories across social media platforms.
However, Apio set the record straight on Sunday via her official X (formerly Twitter) account. In response to a user who shared a viral photo of her and Asake with the caption, “Asake and his Girlfriend (Eva Apio),” the model replied bluntly: “I was never his girlfriend.”
Her response has since gone viral, putting an end to weeks of speculation about the nature of her relationship with the chart-topping artist. Neither Apio nor Asake had previously addressed the rumours publicly.
