Mr. P and Stonebwoy Unite for Cross-Border Hit ‘ODO’

Nigerian Afropop star Mr. P has joined forces with Ghanaian dancehall sensation Stonebwoy for a new single titled ODO, a vibrant fusion of Afrobeats and reggae-dancehall released with an equally striking music video.

Unveiled with a surprise cameo by boxing icon Anthony Joshua, the track marks a fresh milestone for Mr. P – real name Peter Okoye – who continues to carve out a successful solo path since the split of P-Square. ODO comes on the heels of earlier 2024 singles like Winning and Attention, reaffirming his status as a versatile hitmaker.

Blending heartfelt lyrics, catchy rhythms, and cross-cultural energy, ODO – which means “love” in Akan – delivers a soulful message of affection and connection. The track was produced by Mr. P himself, with engineering support from Goldswarm. Stonebwoy’s signature dancehall grit pairs seamlessly with Mr. P’s smooth Afropop sound, resulting in a feel-good anthem that bridges both their musical backgrounds.

Shot in Accra, the music video matches the song’s emotional tone with lush visuals, Afrocentric styling, and energetic choreography – offering a celebration of unity across African borders. Fans have been quick to applaud the collaboration, with the track already generating buzz on social media and streaming platforms.

The release adds another chapter to Mr. P’s post-P-Square evolution and builds on Stonebwoy’s growing international presence, which includes a BET Award and global collaborations. Together, the duo delivers a track that not only highlights their individual strengths but also showcases the power of West African musical synergy.
