At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, held at the UBS Arena in New York, Taylor Swift expressed heartfelt gratitude to her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, for his role in her success. While accepting the prestigious Video of the Year award for her hit song Fortnight, a collaboration with Post Malone, Swift praised Kelce for his behind-the-scenes contribution to the music video.
“My boyfriend, Travis. Everything this man touches turns to happiness, fun, and magic, so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot,” Swift said during her acceptance speech.
Fortnight had a big night, winning multiple awards including Best Collaboration, Song of the Summer, Best Direction, and Best Editing. Swift also made history, taking home the Artist of the Year award for the second year in a row.
Swift’s comments about Kelce, who she credited for bringing extra joy to the project, marked a rare public acknowledgement of their relationship, adding to the excitement of the evening.
