Falz Explains Why He’s Never Had His Heart Broken
Nigerian rapper and actor, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has revealed that he has never experienced heartbreak – because he’s never truly fallen in love.
Speaking during the first live edition of the WithChude podcast hosted by Chude Jideonwo, Falz shared insights into his romantic life, noting that he has never told anyone “I love you” in a romantic sense.
“I have never been heartbroken,” the rapper said. “If you don’t put your legs inside water, can you drown?”
He explained that he’s always guarded his emotions and never fully offered his heart to anyone, although he has expressed deep affection before. “I have said, ‘Oh, I really, really like you,’ but I just haven’t said ‘I’m in love with you,’” he added.
Falz clarified that his stance isn’t a result of emotional detachment, but rather a conscious decision to protect himself. “I’m not devoid of emotion, don’t get it twisted,” he said.
The rapper’s candid remarks have sparked conversations online, with fans reacting to his take on love and relationships.
