Fat Joe, Post Malone and Bad Bunny Star in New Jennifer Lopez Movie
In a cinematic extravaganza, Jennifer Lopez has enlisted the talents of hip-hop heavyweights Fat Joe and Post Malone, alongside Latin sensation Bad Bunny, for her upcoming film “This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.” The official trailer, released on Wednesday, offers a glimpse into the whimsical journey of the singer and actress in her quest for love.
Scheduled to premiere on Amazon Prime on February 16, the 65-minute movie coincides with the release of J.Lo’s first album in a decade, sharing the same title as its visual counterpart. A press release describes both the album and the film as a departure from Lopez’s previous work, delving into her personal odyssey of love and the significance of self-love.
Directed by Dave Meyers, the film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Trevor Noah, Kim Petras, Keke Palmer, Neil deGrasse Tyson, and Sadhguru, among numerous other stars. Notably, Jennifer Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, will also make an appearance in the film, drawing attention as he was the inspiration behind her 2002 album, “This Is Me… Then.”
In a parallel development, rapper 21 Savage has announced a project of his own under the same title. While his “American Dream” album has already achieved commercial success, the biopic is eagerly anticipated. The trailer, unveiled in early January, showcases Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin portraying 21 Savage at different stages of his life.
The clip captures pivotal moments, including McLaughlin portraying a younger 21 Savage and Glover embodying him as he enters the rap industry. The biopic delves into the rapper’s past, featuring scenes of bullying at school, navigating the streets of Atlanta, and encounters with influential figures like Metro Boomin, who played a significant role in his rise to prominence.
