Samklef Criticizes Davido for Mocking Israel DMW’s Estranged Wife
Nigerian music producer Samklef has called out singer Davido for mocking the ex-wife of his logistics manager, Israel DMW. In a viral video, Davido was heard making comments about Israel’s estranged wife, Sheila Courage, while boarding his new private jet, saying she “is regretting now.”
The video sparked controversy online, with Samklef taking to social media to express his disapproval. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Samklef criticized Davido for lacking empathy and moral judgment.
He questioned how Davido would feel if similar remarks were made about his own wife, Chioma. Samklef further added that other prominent Nigerian artists, such as Wizkid and Burna Boy, would not engage in such behaviour.
“Dear Davido, you have shown a lack of morals by calling Israel’s ex-wife a ‘bitch.’ How would you feel if someone called your wife, Chioma, the same?” Samklef wrote. He also questioned why Davido felt the need to boast about flying in private jets, urging the singer to seek mentorship and personal growth.
Israel DMW and Sheila Courage were married in October 2022 but parted ways within a year, reportedly due to issues involving domestic violence and infidelity.
