Fortnite Crew Changes to Reduce V-Bucks Rewards from June 2026
Epic Games has confirmed that upcoming changes to its Fortnite Crew subscription will take effect from June 6, 2026, marking a shift in how players earn in-game currency through the service.
Under the new update, subscribers renewing their membership after the effective date will receive 800 V-Bucks per month, down from the current 1,000 V-Bucks. Until then, existing subscribers will continue to enjoy the higher monthly reward.
The adjustment follows broader changes announced by Epic Games, including a revision of V-Bucks pricing and a reduction in the cost of the Battle Pass. While players will now get fewer V-Bucks for the same real-world spending, the lower Battle Pass price is seen as a balancing move.
Fortnite Crew remains one of the game’s most comprehensive subscription offerings. For a fixed monthly fee, players gain access to multiple in-game perks, including the Crew Pack, Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass. Subscribers also receive exclusive cosmetic items and access to the premium track of Rocket Pass in Rocket League.
The changes were initially expected earlier but were delayed before this confirmed rollout date.
Meanwhile, Fortnite continues to make headlines beyond gameplay updates. Choreographer Darrin Henson has filed a lawsuit against Sony, alleging the unauthorised use of the iconic “Bye Bye Bye” dance in both Fortnite and a recent Deadpool film.
In-game, players also have access to new cosmetic content, including a special skin tied to the upcoming title Crimson Desert.
