Fumito Ganryu Reimagines the PUMA Mostro with 3D-Printed Design from ALIVEFORM
Japanese designer Fumito Ganryu has teamed up once again with PUMA to unveil a bold reinterpretation of the PUMA Mostro, blending avant-garde craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. The two-shoe capsule marks the second collaboration between the designer’s namesake label and the German sportswear giant, pushing the limits of experimental sneaker design.
Ganryu, a protégé of Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe, brings his signature minimalist aesthetic to the collection – but this time with a futuristic twist. The standout design features an exaggerated platform sole produced in partnership with 3D-printing firm ALIVEFORM. The shoe’s spiked traction pattern and textured upper create a sculptural, almost alien-like silhouette that underscores Ganryu’s fascination with form and function.

While one version embraces the daring spirit of high-concept fashion, the second release offers a more wearable approach. Built on the foundation of PUMA’s classic racing silhouette, it features a tight mesh upper, pull-tab closure, and a sleek “Triple Black” finish – balancing performance practicality with the understated elegance that defines Ganryu’s work.
The Fumito Ganryu x PUMA Mostro capsule is expected to debut in the coming weeks via Ganryu’s official website and PUMA Japan. Details on an international release are yet to be confirmed.
