Gideon Okeke Hails Zubby Michael as Nollywood’s Biggest Star
Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has publicly praised his colleague, Zubby Michael, referring to him as the “biggest Nollywood star.”
In a post shared via his Instagram Story, Okeke expressed his admiration for Zubby Michael’s talent and influence, noting his belief in the actor’s greatness and potential.
He wrote: “Zubby Micheal is the biggest Nollywood star. But like Elizabeth, I know what Mary is carrying. God’s expression resounds in different decibels. It takes only humility to submit in praise, to God. Keep riding my broda. I see you.”
Okeke’s declaration comes months after Zubby Michael was embroiled in a debate with fellow actor Timini Egbuson over who holds the title of Africa’s biggest actor. The exchange took place during the first episode of Prime Video’s reality show, ‘Ebuka Turns Up Africa.’
Egbuson had argued that his achievements in terms of movie quality, box office success, and industry recognition placed him above Michael. However, Zubby Michael countered the claim, insisting that he was more successful and financially superior.
The debate between the two stars sparked widespread reactions among Nollywood fans and industry insiders, with both actors enjoying significant acclaim in the African film industry.
