Goya Menor Slams Portable Over 2022 Headies Win, Says “I Gat Class”

Nigerian rapper and singer, Bright Goya, popularly known as Goya Menor, took a swipe at his colleague, Portable, after winning at the recently held Headies awards.

The prestigious award ceremony, which dominantly celebrates excellence in the Nigerian music industry and beyond, held its 15th edition on Sunday, September 4th, 2022, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

On the heels of the enormous success of his smash single “Ameno,” Goya Menor won the best street-hop artiste category, and controversial street-hop act Portable appeared not to be pleased by this.

Recall that Portable was disqualified despite initially bagging two nominations (best street-hop artist and rookie of the year) as a result of his alleged affiliation with the notorious criminal group “1 million boys” (a notorious armed robbery gang) and also threatening the organisers of the award.

Portable had taken to Instagram page after the Headies awards to discredit Goya Menor’s win, claiming that he is not known in the slums.

Responding to Portable’s rant, Goya, via his Instagram page on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, slammed the Zazoo crooner, claiming that they are not in the same class. He wrote:

“I wonder who’s comparing a B.Sc holder who almost made first class with someone who can’t even locate his Kg3 result, As da street hop holder, I gat class. You can never see dirty.”
