Halle Berry to Pay 3rd Husband $8,000 Monthly in Child Support after Finalising 8-Year Divorce Battle

After nearly eight years, Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have officially settled their divorce and custody agreement.

The former couple, who are co-parents to their nine-year-old son Maceo, reached an agreement that outlines joint legal custody for their child. According to the settlement, Berry has agreed to pay Martinez $8,000 a month in child support, along with an additional “4.3% of any income she receives above $2,000,000” as supplementary support.

In addition to the financial terms, Berry will be responsible for covering her son’s private school tuition, uniforms, school supplies, and extracurricular activities. The settlement stipulates that she will reimburse Martinez for these expenses incurred during the 2023/2024 school year.

The couple, who filed for divorce in October 2015 after a two-year marriage, released a joint statement at the time, expressing their mutual decision and respect for one another. The statement read, “We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus of what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life and we hope that you respect our and, most importantly, our children’s privacy as we go through this difficult period.”

Although they were legally declared single by a judge in December 2016, Berry and Martinez continued negotiations regarding child custody and support.

Apart from their son Maceo, Berry is also a mother to her 15-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, following their split in 2010.

In 2021, Berry opened up about her life in an interview with Women’s Health, noting how her relationship with boyfriend Van Hunt has influenced her perspective as a mother. She emphasized the importance of prioritizing one’s own happiness and well-being in order to effectively care for her children.

Berry revealed that she aims to instil in her kids the value of self-expression and individuality, encouraging them to stand up for themselves and be leaders in their own right. She stated, “Be true to themselves, and not be followers, but be leaders and innovators.”

As the long chapter of Berry’s divorce comes to a close, she continues to prioritize her role as a mother, navigating her journey with resilience, self-discovery, and a commitment to her children’s well-being.
