I Want to Return to YBNL – Lyta Begs Olamide
Nigerian singer Opeyemi Rahim, popularly known as Lyta, has openly expressed his wish to return to his former record label, YBNL Nation.
In a recent appearance on the Ginger Yourself Podcast, Lyta clarified that his departure from YBNL wasn’t intentional, stating, “I want to be back with YBNL, what I did back then [leaving YBNL Nation] wasn’t intentional. I didn’t hear from Olamide before leaving, and after I left, he just locked up. But I’ve spoken to him since leaving. I chatted with him via Instagram on his birthday, and he responded.”
Responding to a question about Olamide following him on Instagram, the ‘Monalisa’ crooner replied, “No. He is not following anybody on Instagram.”
Lyta had left YBNL Nation in 2019 following a fallout with the record label boss, Olamide. In a 2022 interview, he revealed leaving YBNL because he had “heard a lot of things from friends and people in the industry” and didn’t know whom or what to believe, with some people eventually influencing his decision.
