I Was Close to Marrying Actress Ebube Nwagbo – Kcee

Afrobeats singer Kcee has opened up about his former relationship with Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo, revealing they were once close to getting married before parting ways.

The Limpopo hitmaker shared the revelation during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by Temisan Emmanuel. Reflecting on the early days of his fame, Kcee said his romance with Nwagbo was a major topic in the media before the rise of social media.

“My scandals happened before social media blew up,” he said. “I was just a young guy dating an actress. It was always in the papers. Back then, I really liked actresses. Who wouldn’t?”

While declining to name all the actresses he dated, Kcee singled out Ebube Nwagbo as one whose relationship with him was highly publicised. “Our relationship was all over the place. We were always on the front page of newspapers and seated in front at every red carpet event. We were very close to getting married. But things happened.”

Kcee has since moved on. He married his wife, Ijeoma, in 2010, and the couple share two children.

Meanwhile, Nwagbo, who remains one of Nollywood’s beloved figures, is currently single. Over the years, she has been romantically linked to several public figures, including Ogbonna Kanu, Emmanuel Emenike, and Ray Emordi.
