I Was Living With My Husband Before Marriage – Kie Kie
Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, the popular skit maker and actress, widely recognized as Kie Kie, has openly shared that she and her husband, Tunji Ilori, were already cohabiting before tying the knot. She attributed this decision to the expiration of her house rent months prior to their wedding.
The revelation came during her guest appearance on the latest episode of the TokeMoments podcast, hosted by the renowned Toke Makinwa.
Kie Kie, who is now a mother of one, explained, “My husband and I started living together before we got married because my [house] rent was already due. My rent was due in September, and we were going to get married in January. So, I can’t renew my rent. And we had done our introduction by then. The church wasn’t aware that we were already living together. I was even singing in the church choir then.”
Despite her initial apprehensions about marriage, Kie Kie eventually overcame her fears through prayer.
In February 2020, Kie Kie and her husband, Tunji Ilori, officially became husband and wife, and they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Oluwashonaolami Olori, in November 2022.
